One of oldest education games ever made remains to this day one of the most well-executed: Adventures in Math teaches algebra in a treasure-hunting premise, putting you inside a castle where math problems must be solved to open each door and get treasures.
Different difficulty levels accommodate different skills, and on-line help is comprehensive. Simple, yes, but effective-- thumbs up!

This needs to be made as a phone game. I been trying for a year to remember the name of this game. I am so thrilled that I finally found it.
Please, please, please tell me there is a way to play or download this game today. I loved this game when I was a kid. (Shhh I'm 46 now) I would so love to play this again and introduce it to my kids. Hopefully waiting Stacy.
Ran across this review during a random walk down memory lane. I am the original author of Adventures In Math (and all its derivatives), and the nice comments here really warms my heart. I initially wrote this program to help my own children learn math and I thought it could help others as well. The rest is history...... Regards!!!
Adventures in Math...phenomenal game. This was such a great game for my children growing up. Why can't someone develop this game for today's computers?
It's insane seeing this game. Played on my PCjr when I was a little kid in 1st or 2nd grade.
It's a fun game. I just beat this today on small castle. I used to play this back in '86 on the IBM PCjr.
I review Adventures in Math here: http://youtu.be/zaEiohABLpY
