IIRC to get the max jump the wind arrow should point straight left (270 degrees) or slightly lower. The maximum wind you can get is around 4.0. You need to reload the track until you get that. In air maintain the ideal position, head between the skies, straight back (look up a few vids on youtube). The wind will push you upwards so you need to move the mouse down from time to time to maintain the above position. When you jump (and land) you press both left and right mouse button (not 100% sure, could be left press on jump and left then right on land).

This is a very fun game, but it's hard to figure out how to jump very far. I'd love to find a manual for this game so I could figure it out.
