Well, playing through this game a second time knowing where everything is and having a map of the world, this game is beatable in just 10 minutes.

I see a lot of people hating on this game, and I can see why it wouldn't appeal to most. It can be very frustrating and difficult. However, a lot of the complaints seem to boil down to the fact that there's no map system, which is made much worse by the repetitive graphics and areas of the world you go through. For this game, you have to map out the game world yourself as you go, and it doesn't hurt to write down what the characters tell you either. Combat also happens very randomly, which can result in some very unfair difficulty.
After giving it a try, and actually taking the time to create a map of the game world and jot down notes of what characters say when you talk to them, I found that the game really isn't as complex or impossible as most people seem to make it out to be, preferring to just wander aimlessly and hope they make progress. I had to reload my game a lot, but for my first try, and actually doing the above tasks while playing, I beat the whole game in about 2 hours.
Overall, if you have the patience to take notes while you play this game, you might get the hang of it and perhaps even enjoy it, but at the end of the day, there's better games out there.
3/5 (And that's being generous)
