FIFA Manager 07: Extra Time

Some additional observations:
- Windows 11: Game seems to work only when launched without using compatibility mode.
- Windows 10: Compatibility with Windows XP Service Pack 2 works great.
- Windows XP SP2 64-bit, via virtual machine also works great.
- Had issues loading into 3D matches on Win10 and Win11 while having a USB wireless Bluetooth headphone dongle plugged in. Issue resolved when the USB dongle was unplugged. If you have problems with 3D matches, try removing some of the devices you might not need.

I would also recommend changing the "Language" registry back to "English UK" and restarting your computer after installing the patch for the expansion.

Good news guys, I was able to make a proper disk mage that you can use without the the No-CD (No-CD causes crashes which are discussed in previous posts).
(0) Begin by completely uninstalling existing game files via the uninstaller in the game directory or "Add or Remove Programs" Windows feature (you can keep your safe game files but they will not be compatible).
(1) Install FIFA Manager 07 base game with your preferred language using the Multi-Language disk image listed under FIFA Manager 07 page of this web-site.
(1.1) Do not launch the game, yet.
(1.2) Optionally, copy of the "EdManager07" file from the game's file directory to another folder. You might want to do this because this file is the database editor, if you plan on making changes to the database and do not understand German, you can swap to the editor that you backed-up and make changes there (I have not tested if it works, so keep both editors on hand).
(2) If did not install the base game in German, open the Registry Editor (open Start Menu and type "Registry Editor" or open the "Run..." program and type "regedit")
(2.1) Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\EA Sports\FIFA Manager 07" and change the "Language" registry from it's current value (i.e. "English UK") to "German"
(3) Download and mount the 704 MB Extra Time add-on from this page via DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120% (IMPORTAINT: verify that you are mounting an MDS or MDF file (If you only see an ISO disk image, you have downloaded the wrong one)).
(3.1) Optional but highly recommended, install the German version of the patch from this page.
(4) Keep the disk image mounted and launch the game (Do not use the No-CD as it causes game to crash soon after beginning the game), the language should remain the same that you picked for the base game's installation. If the language changes to German, navigate to the game's file directory and open the "user.ini" file with a text editor and add the following line of code at the end: "TEXT_LANGUAGE=eng"
This fixes the crashing issues that were brought up in previous posts. If you run into any other issues, please share them here.

Just got my hands on the German Extra Time add-on disk. I created the .mdf and .mds disk images and used it to update FM07 installation and then run the game in English without the no-cd. The game has stopped crashing on both the Extra Time v1.0 and v1.1 patches. I'll be contacting the admins to see if they can add or swap the main file and then I'll write a new guide on how to install and run the add-on in English.

Hey, Exis10ce, thank you for taking the time to respond. Here is my contribution to the issue:
1. I found a fix for the same problem for Fifa Manager 08. The solution was to find a mini image .mdf and/or .mds (only a few Kbs in size), and to mount it using the new Daemon Tools but after creating an IDE disc, not a regular one. You don't need any cracks, it runs with the original .exe. My guess is that it would be the same for Fifa Manager 07 - Extra Time, the only issue is that there isn't any mini image for it...

Hey, Desperate Fan. I've ran into the same issue, beginning late September, when the game attempts to progress from Friday to Saturday, the game stutters and then often crashes to desktop (sometimes it does not and advances). I've spent the last 2 days trying to track down the issue, mostly on the Russian forums. My preliminary findings indicate that the No-CD is the culprit, as I think it is for the unpatched version of Extra Time or it is flawed in some other way. The users of the Russian forums who were able to get Extra Time to work (some were into their 5th or 6th seasons with no crashing issues) did so via a disk image of the add-on with file extensions .mdf and .mds, and running daemon tools (ver. 4.08 or 4.09) and Y.A.S.U. (ver. 1.1 or 1.2). Links to the .mdf/.mds disk images are long dead, though. I did however, order the actual disk of the German Extra Time add-on off of eBay for approx. $17. I will make an attempt to create a disk image that can then be used to bypass SecuROM protection more reliably and then to contribute that to the admins of this site. If this happens, it would be no sooner than mid to late December. In the mean time, here are some work arounds for you to try:
0) Slog though it. Try saving on Fridays and try to advance, a chance that game does not crash exists.
1) Uninstall the game.
1.1) Re-install the game, omitting steps 2 and 4 of my earlier guide (Add-on includes the 1.1 patch for base game).
1.2) Try how the game behaves with the No-CD. Tell tale sign of problems are if your game crashes to desktop when opening the "Expand Stadium" menu. Make sure to also try staring a new game and advancing to Sep/Oct/Nov.
2) Also buy the disk on eBay. Search for "Fussball Manager 07" the add-on will have "VERLANGERUNG" written on the box art.

Good news guys, there is a relatively easy way to play Extra Time in English.
(1) Begin by installing FIFA Manager 07 with German language.
(1.1) Select "Beenden" at the end of the installation to quit the install without running the game.
(2) Install German version of v1.1 Patch for the base game and, optionally, the Database Update.
(3) Mount the Extra Time Add-On .iso from this page and install it over the German version of the base game.
(3.1) Select "Beenden" at the end of the installation to quit the install without running the game.
(4) Install the German version of v1.1 Extra Time Patch from this page.
(5) Download the NoCD from this page and place Manager07.exe in the game folder. (Copy the original Manager07.exe someplace else, just in case).
(6) Launch FUSSBALL MANAGE 07, to check if the game and the add-on were installed correctly and the the NoCD works. If the game launches, proceed to next step.
(7) Go to the game folder and open the "locale" config file using a text editor (e.g. notepad).
(8) Change the following lines of code:
"TEXT_LANGUAGE=ger" to "TEXT_LANGUAGE=eng"
"INSTALL_LANGUAGE=ger" to "INSTALL_LANGUAGE=eng"
"TEXT_LANGUAGE_OVERRIDE=ger" to "TEXT_LANGUAGE_OVERRIDE=eng"
(9) Save the file and enjoy!

I just get an error saying 'extra time not installed, the installation will be aborded';

I suppose there's no point in trying to change the language in the ini file, is there? I really hope there's a God and He brings us the English version
