Hi. Any ideas why all graphics flickers on XP? It doesn't run in any compatibility mode at all and without it it all goes on and off.

I'm returning from July 2024 to warn you the game no longer plays videos under Windows 11 despite setting the same compatibility mode (Windows XP service pack 2). I don't know if some Windows 11 update screwed the game and videos' compatibility up; this happened not only in Vulture (I only own this version so I can't confirm if HellCopter also suffers), also in: Airfix Dogfighter and eRacer. I'm using dgVoodoo, but doesn't help much (if at all).

To get saving to work. (RIP version) In the file HELLCOP.REG add "\WOW6432Node" before "\Ubisoft" in the registry path before importing it. E.g. "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Ubisoft\HellCopter\1.6" should be "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\WOW6432Node\Ubisoft\HellCopter\1.6" and so on. Did not need any compatibility settings to work in Win11.

The tip given here may not work. I have a Windows 10 computer and I had to enable Windows 98\Me compatibility mode in Vulture.exe file. I even have the Polish release (Vulture) and readme.txt file included in the CD told me to do so. But this compatibility mode doesn't apply to Windows 11: you have to set a different mode - Windows XP (service pack 2). Then the intro and all remaining videos will show up. I of course can't guarantee these methods will work at other gamers' PCs, but you can try.
