How to Play
Notes:
- RuneSword 2 is an open-source project, you can find the source code and documentation of all versions of the game on SourceForge page. We also recommend to check it if you have technical issues with the game
- The game requires Visual Basic 6.0 runtimes for the work, you can download it here or here
- Version 2.6.3 is currently the latest version of the game. To install patch v2.6.3, install the game v2.6.1, then patch v2.6.2, and only after that install the patch v2.6.3. Archive with patch v2.6.3 includes both the installer for the patch and extracted patch files in separate folder
- If you are playing RuneSword 2 for the first time, it is recommended to check Player's Guide for the basics of game
- The game was also released on CDs by Shrapnel Games publisher. Commercial CD release includes many demo versions of other Shrapnel Games titles and several tutorial videos for RuneSword 2 and RuneSword Creator tool. The game on that CD is identical to the earliest freeware release, we recommend to download the latest version of the game that has most of the bugs fixed. We added that CD mostly for archival purpose
