1. download covermount version (it does not require a nocd crack)
2. Launch game once and close it so the mydocument files get generated
3. (fix d3d error crash) Navigate to C:\Users\Randy\Documents\SHELLSHOCK_NAM67 and open up the file called TOD_PC.ini and add this line under the VIDEO section PostRenderEffects = off
4. to fix no sound just search openal32.dll on your computer and just literally use a different one. The games openal32.dll is busted. Im using the openal32.dll from arma cold war assault remastered and now i have sound ingame.
i recommend using 1440x1080 screen resolution for old games. Its great. I dont even seek out widescreen patches anymore . you gotta type 1440x1080 inside tod_pc.ini (dont look for files manually just use everything file search and type tod_pc.ini to be taken there instantly)

Aiming is absolutely busted. I just installed this game and played it for maybe 10 minutes. The crosshair is incredibly delayed and I think there's different sensitivity values for X and Y axes.
I'm just not going to bother trying to fix this. This is awful.

This game is horrible. -The dimensions of the viewport are somehow just flat out incorrect even with a 4:3 window. Not sure how they managed that. Even in 1024x768 the UI is warped and the compass is not a circle.
- The graphics are just unusually bad, mysteriously bad, i've been playing nothing but games from the year 2000-2001 and the graphics in this game are somehow 10,000x worse.
-The game is just goofy. The colors are just mind-numblingly incorrect. The lighting is too bright. Not even a pixel of realism. The guns are like giant plastic toys. The crosshair is HUGE. The weapon recoil is a laugh.
-You cant even jump in this game
This game and freedom fighters are two of the worst games ive ever seen. Wouldn't even make my top 1000 games list. But i keep coming back to try them again because people love them for some reason i will never be able to understand.
I refuse to believe gamers care about game stories THAT much that it can override such god-awful gameplay
play conflict vietnam and use reshade 6.1 to force it into windowed mode (you can do that in reshade.ini) that game came out the same year and has way better vietnam graphics and colors and combat and everything
GROOVE GAMES makes better shooters than shellshock nam 67

If anyone got the LGU repack and then can't install it. Just extract SSNAM1.cab file using winrar and the SSNAM.msi file using 7zip to one folder and then run the .exe file and the game will run.

I can get the game to run but the backround isnt loading. Like in the first level there are supposed to be these big mountains in the backround but they arent there, just empty space. I tried installing old directx 9 files, running on compatibility/admin mode, no fix. I have windows 11 with RTX 4070 and intel i9

As with the rest of this comment section, I, too, am receiving the "NO DISC/WRONG DISC INSERTED" error. I had no issues installing and running Shellshock 2, however.

One of my favourite games of all time. Used to have it on PC but lost it, downloaded it on the PS3 but still yearned for the PC version. Now it's finally on Abandonware, thank god.
