1.) Download the game. 2.) Use PowerISO to extract the game to its own folder. 3.) Select THC- GBoR in PowerISO and then click on the "Mount" drop-down menu. 4.) Change "Set Number of Drives" to 1, and mount THC-GBoR to your virtual Drive. 5.) Launch the .exe from your file browser.

I solved the issue in windows 10. Open and extract the download before clicking on the shortcut to the game and you will be able to re-enter it.
You will have to fo this every time you want to play, but the game will work and your save files will still be there.

Played for a few days and suddenly it stopped working and started requesting a disk to play!
Great game though!
