I'd like to see this continue as abandonware. I bought this around the time it was released via an IGN site, can't remember the name of it now, possibly Direct to Drive? I paid good cash for it, but no longer have the downloaded registered file. The email I used to buy it no longer exists as Freeserve closed the servers with no warning around 20 years ago, so I couldn't get another download even if I was able to.
So, why should I pay for it again?
The same has happened for quite a few other games I've bought that GOG have hoovered up over the years e.g. Darklands, that used to be abandonware. I bought two boxed copies in 1992, one for me and one for my schools computer club (I used to teach at a Birmingham school back then, the kids loved RPG's). There were 11 floppy disks and a fantastic manual that covered all of the weapons and armour types you could make in game. Still got the manual. I ended up buying it via Steam a few years ago rather than GOG. Unfortunately one of my disks became corrupted. Thankfully I managed to get a download from an abandonware site before GOG got their hands on it, but I lost out on loads of others that I paid cash for, but no longer have, then discovered GOG had grabbed them. Grrrr...
