I found installation to be more straightforward using the following website:
https://cdromance.org/windows/farland-symphony-english-patched/
The version there is already English-patched.
Install:
1. Mount ISO of the Japanese version.
(Do not install or copy anything!)
2. Run the English Translation Patch
(This is actually an installer for the English version of the game.)
3. Install choosing the custom option to make your best choices.
(This includes copying material from the mounted ISO.)
4. Dismount the ISO and play!
(It's not necessary to use a crack nor have the ISO mounted for this game.)
After searching for several years, I'm glad someone finally uploaded it to this site, Im looking forward to playing it
