Missile Command

I randomly decided to check back here. TimRockIt came in clutch in the comments. I tried the program DxWnd as he specified and it worked like a charm. For me I had to turn on the Blitting due to flickering, and sometimes the game MAY freeze a bit between loading screens. but if the pop up comes on saying its not responding, just click wait and it SHOULD resume regularly.

Been playing it for a small while and having a blast. Forgot how short the game can be a bit. Still remember all the tricks I used to get the most amount of $ to upgrade your pods.

To force this old game to run on Windows 11, I had to use the DxWnd hook, default settings worked right away. Any other tweaking would be your own preferences. I did NOT use any Windows compatibility settings on the game executable at all. In fact, attempting to use Windows compatibility seemed to make things worse, not better. Also, in the game path you'll find a '3DOptions.ini', and in there you might have to turn OFF the fog and turn ON the Blitting.

I have been looking for this for years. Thanks the website that finally got the memory back for the childhood.

I still got the disk on hand, but of course getting it to work even on Windows XP can be troublesome and as even buying a XP laptop won't let it run due to drivers not being correct or something.

Really wish I could figure out how to get it working again. But here, I wanna know if anyone's had any luck getting the game to work.

This game was also released for PS1. Dad and me played it when I was kid, I also searched for Windows game and couldn't find it. I used Myabandonware before, but I didn't know you had it here. Thank you very very much for adding Missile Command here!

NICE! I didn't know that there is such a modern remake of the old classic. i will try this game. THANK YOU TEAM FOR BRINGING THIS.
