Project Earth is a full 3D real-time strategy in space. The gameplay takes the best and proven elements of the RTS gengre, and combine the need for both quick thinking and long-term strategies. The user interface is intuitive and very adaptive and features for the first time ever in a 3D space RTS game, the ability for the player to have complete freedom of the camera movement.
The space-opera-like storyline in Project Earth was written to capture the imagination of the player. Giant spaceships and exploding planets are just the background for the story that really evolves around human emotions.

Got this to work on Windows 10 with these steps (WITH 4K):
1. Download, mount and install the ISO here. It actually has cool install music
2. Get the v1.1 patch, which can be found on PCGamingWiki for Project Earth
3. Go to GameCopyWorld and find the crack for v1.1 ENG
4. Install the patch, extract it to a random folder and copy-paste the stuff into your Project Earth install folder
5. Copy the crack over. Now the crack on GameCopyWorld is in an old .ace file, yeah WinAce, but you can use PeaZip and its UNACE plugin. Ask your favourite LLM how to do that but its a simple 2 downloads, the PeaZip free program and the UNACE plugin which must be put in the bin folder; honestly if you intend to play old games and grab cracks WinAce is something you're going to be seeing so get this tool
6. Set compatibility to Windows XP SP 3 and run under admin privileges
7. The game will let you natively set up to 4K resolution in 32bit (I kid you not)
8., The only issue you might run into is the music sometimes starts to skip, like as if your CD is bouncing around (for us oldies out there you know whats up). I am trying to sort it out, sometimes running VLC player with an audio file, pausing, then starting the game negates this issue. Its only when the music transitions rapidly from combat to normal to combat again does it start desyncing
This honestly feels like a bite-sized Homeworld, maybe even one that may have had some potential to be ported to consoles. Controls are so unintuitive that I remember why I never gave it much of a chance as a kid. The tutorial was informative but the controls are highly complex for no reason other than my suspicion that it was meant to be universal for any future ports.
One of the first 3d PC games I played, have a lot of nostalgia for it. For those interested it's basically a mediocre version of Homeworld where you can play two races - Humans vs a red cyborg alien race called 'Daemon's while a third more advanced race called the Vitechi meddle in everything. Its an ok game, it had nice early 00s electronic space music which helped build the atmosphere with nice visuals for the time. Unfortunately I don't think it run's on modern OSs or at least I can't get it to run at the moment.
No comment nor review for this game at the moment.
