I really wish the no-CD would still be up. I own the original game on EA, but Sims RPC requires a no-CD patch. So instead of being able to easily download it, I'm having to hunt around corners of the internet for a pirated copy of the game or the no-CD that works.

I have the original DVD versions and I'm upset see that "No-CD patch" has been taken down. I'd love for it to be present, because most of those DVD's are scratched and it would take long-ass time to load them.

I had this version on my computer for years and today after purchasing legacy I accidently removed this one instead and now I won't be able to finish my sims 2 series ive been working on for 12 years
If anyone has the files I'll do anything for them back :( Idk why I uninstalled without thinking.

Luckily I have the files on this page for the Sims 2 before they released the infamous "functional" version with Windows 10 and 11, and the ones from my abandoneware are perfect in those new systems
No one is going to buy a worse version of 20 year old game that it's publisher couldn't even be bothered to properly fix for modern systems. EA doesn't deserve money for not even properly doing the bare minimum for what a release of an old game should have. All they did was install a bunch of fan patches without actually testing whether or not they work. If GOG re-released it then it's removal from this site might've been more understandable, but because it's EA there is absolutely no reason for people to not get the game off the internet through "other means".

But if you want to be maybe slightly happy, the PSP versions of the Sims games (Portable Sims games in general) have not been re-released, and are not hosted here but other places (Check reputable subreddits for emulator advice, direction, etc.) They differ from the PC/Mac versions of the game, but especially more modern iterations (Not the Gameboy Advanced version obviously, although it's equally fun in it's own right) But just look around and don't stomp your way to your room when there are still stones left untouched by EA.

Also there is a severe lack of cope in the comments. If you didn't get the game before it was not abandonware, it is your fault, your loss, your problem.
The website owners have no legal right to have any game up, but they can because the license for whatever game isn't valid.
It so happens The Sims have been picked up and re-released, don't complain if you are late, because you won't get it here and if you can't afford it, then that's your own issue.

Q: "Where do I download this game? Is it still abandonware?" A: No it's been re-released and is no longer considered abandonware. It's been re-released and is avaliable under "The Sims 2 Legacy Collection" On Steam, EA, etc.
The MAC version is sold as " The Sims 2 Super Collection" on the Mac App Store. This version is content complete (For MAC) but lacks certain content that was never released for MAC.

Hello, so i made a virtual machine with Windows Vista Ultimate on it and the download of the Sims 2 The Complete Repack (took a LONG time to download) , got it extracted and ran the application thru administrator and i am getting the win32 not valid application error. I have tried re-extracting it to another place and am still getting the error. Ive tried googling up solutions before typing this comment but no luck. Hoping you can help!

How to find the NOCD patch/crack, it is not in the download.
Go to the mentioned expansion Mansion and Garden Stuff and scroll down. Not the download ISO, but further down. You will find addionatil files.

Hi everyone, I have started downloading the Sims 2 Complete Collection and it just stopped and keeps saying network error so it can't resume the download. It has downloaded 3/9.2GB so far. I have tried downloading it again but it does not want to reach the website. Is there something wrong with the website or has the game been removed? I have checked my firewall/proxy settings. Para aqueles que baixaram a versão completa e não esta conseguindo abrir, fica pedindo o CD, no meu caso para resolver, baixei no EXTRAS DO JOGO, a opção: NO CD Alt No CD de 6mb, baixei e coloquei na pasta do jogo e executei como administrador, vai aparecer uma mensagem avisando que pode não funcionar, mais e só ignorar, que o jogo vai abrir para vocês.

I played around with these files for an hour (it worked at first but after i added the rest of the expansions it seems to have messed my files up and corrupted the game) I can verify that I googled an internet archive version...it installed with a custom launcher and runs perfectly fine. I love the game play it on the PC but wanted to comment still because i love the sims 2 the one i play all the time but if you want to download the game just download it then patch it and also download the Nocd which what that does is allow you to bypass the disc check so you can play the game works with fifa manager but get the serial key so the game will install for you Download and Install get the Patch then get the NOCD that will work Use WinCDEmu that's the simple disc image you can get works with me but i don't need to download this game because i got the full version on the PC with the actual Disc and Case LOL Fred if i get told off i will pin this on you for making me give advice to these people If the game does not work just play some FIFA instead lol

I have tried following all the steps, to the best of my understanding... I have managed to install the game, and did get around the 'this app is blocked' thing, trying to install Mansion&Garden... But I can't find the code for M&G anywhere, the instructions for locating the code are just baffling, there are no such directories. Now I did locate some key that seemed to belong to the expansion pack, but it was too short. If it was the right code to begin with, it was missing the entire last segment of it. I tried using the code for the game itself, but obviously it didn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.

The patch file isn't working, even it requests I insert a CD even after I replace the exe file with the one from the NoCD version. Both versions of the NoCD exe file didn't work for me.

Since someone asked how to extract files: right-click on zip-folder and find "7-Zip" or "WinZip" (or sth else, depending on what programme you have for it, I use 7-Zip) and click "extract files" in the dropdown menu and follow the guide. Hope this helps!

nothing useful to add, just wanted to say thanks to all the kind gamers who made the installation guides. i went with the archive-org ultimate edition and "Epsilon1"s guide posted there, but ive also installed from here on my sisters pc using "Jude Williams/Sputniksa"s advice and both versions run perfectly!

It is important to PAY ATTENTION to the following steps OR the sims 2 might not work. Please note the Sims 2 is an older game so it might not work on computer but you can always try. ;)
Step 1, Run the "AutoRun" to start the installation proces (inside the Gamedata folder).
Step 2, When the game asks about the CD serial fill in the code inside the CD Keycode folder.
Step 3, After the Basegame has been installed do NOT boot up de game yet or it will not work. The game will ask you to insert the original CD. You'll also need to Patch the game or you will not be able to install expansion packs and stuff packs. Inside the CD Keycode folder you can find the patch.
Step 4, Please install the last Stuffpack "Mansion and Garden Stuff" the same way as the last 3 steps.
Step 5, When te "Mansion and Garden Stuff" is installed try to search for the installation folder on your drive. In most cases C:- Program Files- EA games- The Sims 2. Now open the TS Bin forlder off "Mansion and Garden Stuff".
Step 6, Now in the M&GS CD keycode folder there is ann .exe called "Sims2EP9". You will need to copy this to the TS Bin folder you just found in Step 5 and replace it.
Step 7, Delete the sims 2 shortcuts created on your desktop and make one from the Sims2EP9 one. You can now try to boot up the Sims 2. If it is not working I'M sorry my dear but try retracing step 5 and 6.
If it works and you can start to play you did it right and can install the other SP and EP's Well done and enjoy playing the Sims 2.

Hey fellow simmers! I have been playing sims since it was just sims so when I found this I just couldn't stop smiling! Then I tried to download....that proved difficult. JUDE WILLIAMS and SPUTNIKSA helped big time but I found the directions to be a little confusing so here is my amended guideline below BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE TWO ABOVE! Seriously you guys rock! Couldn't Stop smiling yesterday and already half way through adding the expansion packs. It really holds up!
PROBLEM 1: "this app has been blocked for your protection" Solution: First things first - take SPUTNIKSA's advice and go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjf0PxhGU0U and change your settings. The video is super clear and he walks you through each step (took 2 minutes then a quick restart of my computer)
PROBLEM: Where to download/extract to -making cleanup easier Solution: I suggest that once you have downloaded any files you extract to your Desktop - just makes things clearer for me and easier to cleanup after
Now we are good to go! Going right on to JUDE WILLIAMS's guideline (with some amendments*)
Step 1, Run the "AutoRun" to start the installation process (inside the Gamedata folder).
Step 2, When the game asks for CD serial fill in the code below SERIAL "THA2-Z3FK- OR1A-3HZ4-2WUS"
Step 3, After the base game has been installed it will ask if you will like to run, do not run and instead finish installation and quit. If you try to run the game it will have an error and request that you enter CD.
Step 3-2: Download and extract patch and "NOCD" to Desktop, run patch. Find your Desktop Folder in your files - not from your desktop and copy "Sims2" and paste into C:- Program Files- EA games- The Sims 2. Now open the TS Bin folder It will say it is a duplicate, select replace
NOW REPEAT.... Step 4: Download and install the Stuff Pack "Mansion and Garden Stuff" the same way as the last 3 steps.
Run Patch and you are ready to play
To play simply go to "All Apps" or wherever you would find your programs - may be called Program files - it is where you find your windows or start button

i finally figured it out so the first thing you want to do is do the standard install process with the sims 2 when it is finished do not open the application as you will need to do more stuff when it is done you will need to install the patch but it says you need cd 4 i found a video with some files that help with that here : http://www.mediafire.com/file/lzbxtj51r6b6e6r/TS2_update.zip/file what you need to do is extract it and copy or cut the files and paste it in your sims 2 files override everything and then you may install the patches then you need to install mansions and gardens pack if you are trying to install it and it says "this app has been blocked for your protection" dont worry this video should help : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjf0PxhGU0U once you have installed mansions and gardens pack it will check if your sims is up to date and if you used the files correctly then it will say it is up to date if it doesnt cancel the install and paste the TS2 updater files in the directory again then it will be installed dont open it yet we are almost there then you need to install the NO_CD file provided by abandoned ware when you install the mansions and gardens pack rar and paste it in your TS bin then you delete all your desktop shortcuts for the game and make a shortcut out of the SIMS2EP9.exe in the mansions and gardens directory and hopefully the game will work if it doesnt im sorry but it worked for me so doesnt hurt to try?

If GOG re-released it then it's removal from this site might've been more understandable, but because it's EA there is absolutely no reason for people to not get the game off the internet through "other means".
But if you want to be maybe slightly happy, the PSP versions of the Sims games (Portable Sims games in general) have not been re-released, and are not hosted here but other places (Check reputable subreddits for emulator advice, direction, etc.) They differ from the PC/Mac versions of the game, but especially more modern iterations (Not the Gameboy Advanced version obviously, although it's equally fun in it's own right) But just look around and don't stomp your way to your room when there are still stones left untouched by EA.
Also there is a severe lack of cope in the comments. If you didn't get the game before it was not abandonware, it is your fault, your loss, your problem.
The website owners have no legal right to have any game up, but they can because the license for whatever game isn't valid.
It so happens The Sims have been picked up and re-released, don't complain if you are late, because you won't get it here and if you can't afford it, then that's your own issue.

The MAC version is sold as " The Sims 2 Super Collection" on the Mac App Store. This version is content complete (For MAC) but lacks certain content that was never released for MAC.

Hello, so i made a virtual machine with Windows Vista Ultimate on it and the download of the Sims 2 The Complete Repack (took a LONG time to download) , got it extracted and ran the application thru administrator and i am getting the win32 not valid application error. I have tried re-extracting it to another place and am still getting the error. Ive tried googling up solutions before typing this comment but no luck. Hoping you can help!
How to find the NOCD patch/crack, it is not in the download.
Go to the mentioned expansion Mansion and Garden Stuff and scroll down.
Not the download ISO, but further down. You will find addionatil files.

I love the game play it on the PC but wanted to comment still because i love the sims 2 the one i play all the time but if you want to download the game just download it then patch it and also download the Nocd which what that does is allow you to bypass the disc check so you can play the game works with fifa manager but get the serial key so the game will install for you Download and Install get the Patch then get the NOCD that will work Use WinCDEmu that's the simple disc image you can get works with me but i don't need to download this game because i got the full version on the PC with the actual Disc and Case LOL Fred if i get told off i will pin this on you for making me give advice to these people If the game does not work just play some FIFA instead lol

I have tried following all the steps, to the best of my understanding... I have managed to install the game, and did get around the 'this app is blocked' thing, trying to install Mansion&Garden... But I can't find the code for M&G anywhere, the instructions for locating the code are just baffling, there are no such directories. Now I did locate some key that seemed to belong to the expansion pack, but it was too short. If it was the right code to begin with, it was missing the entire last segment of it. I tried using the code for the game itself, but obviously it didn't work. Any help would be much appreciated.

The patch file isn't working, even it requests I insert a CD even after I replace the exe file with the one from the NoCD version. Both versions of the NoCD exe file didn't work for me.

i set up the sims2 folder perfectly, but i can't paste the SIMS2EP9 file into the mansion and garden stuff tsbin because it says the DVD Drive doesn't have enough space, and i can't delete any files to create space. any ideas?

Since someone asked how to extract files: right-click on zip-folder and find "7-Zip" or "WinZip" (or sth else, depending on what programme you have for it, I use 7-Zip) and click "extract files" in the dropdown menu and follow the guide. Hope this helps!

In most cases C:- Program Files- EA games- The Sims 2. Now open the TS Bin forlder off "Mansion and Garden Stuff".
Step 6, Now in the M&GS CD keycode folder there is ann .exe called "Sims2EP9". You will need to copy this to the TS Bin folder
you just found in Step 5 and replace it.
Step 7, Delete the sims 2 shortcuts created on your desktop and make one from the Sims2EP9 one.
You can now try to boot up the Sims 2. If it is not working I'M sorry my dear but try retracing step 5 and 6.
If it works and you can start to play you did it right and can install the other SP and EP's

Hey fellow simmers! I have been playing sims since it was just sims so when I found this I just couldn't stop smiling! Then I tried to download....that proved difficult. JUDE WILLIAMS and SPUTNIKSA helped big time but I found the directions to be a little confusing so here is my amended guideline below BIG SHOUT OUT TO THE TWO ABOVE! Seriously you guys rock! Couldn't Stop smiling yesterday and already half way through adding the expansion packs. It really holds up!
PROBLEM 1: "this app has been blocked for your protection"
Solution: First things first - take SPUTNIKSA's advice and go to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gjf0PxhGU0U and change your settings. The video is super clear and he walks you through each step (took 2 minutes then a quick restart of my computer)
PROBLEM: Where to download/extract to -making cleanup easier
Solution: I suggest that once you have downloaded any files you extract to your Desktop - just makes things clearer for me and easier to cleanup after
Now we are good to go! Going right on to JUDE WILLIAMS's guideline (with some amendments*)
Step 1, Run the "AutoRun" to start the installation process (inside the Gamedata folder).
Step 2, When the game asks for CD serial fill in the code below
SERIAL "THA2-Z3FK- OR1A-3HZ4-2WUS"
Step 3, After the base game has been installed it will ask if you will like to run, do not run and instead finish installation and quit. If you try to run the game it will have an error and request that you enter CD.
Step 3-2: Download and extract patch and "NOCD" to Desktop, run patch. Find your Desktop Folder in your files - not from your desktop and copy "Sims2" and paste into C:- Program Files- EA games- The Sims 2. Now open the TS Bin folder It will say it is a duplicate, select replace
NOW REPEAT....
Step 4: Download and install the Stuff Pack "Mansion and Garden Stuff" the same way as the last 3 steps.
Run Patch and you are ready to play
To play simply go to "All Apps" or wherever you would find your programs - may be called Program files - it is where you find your windows or start button
i finally figured it out
so the first thing you want to do is do the standard install process with the sims 2 when it is finished do not open the application as you will need to do more stuff
when it is done you will need to install the patch but it says you need cd 4

what you need to do is extract it and copy or cut the files and paste it in your sims 2 files override everything and then you may install the patches
then you need to install mansions and gardens pack

once you have installed mansions and gardens pack it will check if your sims is up to date and if you used the files correctly then it will say it is up to date
if it doesnt cancel the install and paste the TS2 updater files in the directory again
then it will be installed dont open it yet we are almost there
then you need to install the NO_CD file provided by abandoned ware when you install the mansions and gardens pack rar
and paste it in your TS bin then you delete all your desktop shortcuts for the game and make a shortcut out of the SIMS2EP9.exe in the mansions and gardens directory and hopefully the game will work if it doesnt im sorry
but it worked for me so doesnt hurt to try?

I downloaded all the files, including the no CD and patch files. However, when I try to launch the game or the patch or the no CD fix, it tells me to insert a CD. I have it mounted to a virtual Drive in power ISO, but now I'm kind of at a loss. Anyone have any ideas?
