Looking at your own chest In this game Is one way to check your own health In this early noodle arm physics game, other than dying.
This was the Crysis of It's time too, but no other game can let you fire upside down for whatever reason... unless you're playing a VR game.

Boy did i spend tons of hrs into the demo of this gem of a game, i loved it as a kid and i was super happy at the time to even run the game as it was a very high spec game at that time.

For the best way to play Trespasser on modern hardware follow these steps: 1. download the demo and unzip to desired folder (preferably not somewhere that requires admin privileges.) https://www.trescom.org/download/official-trespasser-demo/ 2. copy the contents of the the ISO/CD's data folder to the demo's data folder, overwrite. 3. download the Trespasser CE patch and unzip it to the demo's main folder. https://www.trescom.org/download/trespasser-ce-patch/ 4. run tpassp6.exe 5. Enjoy!
The ATX mod is pretty much obsolete at this point and has been replaced with Trespasser CE.

I was recently watching JP2 and vaguely remembered playing this game back in the day... I made various searches under old Jurassic Park games, JP shooters.... and couldn't find this game at all. I couldn't pin point the time this game came out or when I played it but I was sure that it was before Half Life 2... the game known for physics in the game... but I remember this Dino game I was looking for had really good physics. I finally stumbled across the game in my search, found that it was called Jurassic Park Trespasser and was amazed to find out that the game didn't to so well. I loved it back then and I was too young to get through the game 100% but now... GAME ON!! PS: this game was sooooo far ahead of its time.

This game was Classic, when I played it just after release. A few people complained about the dislocated type wrist action when operating placed guns and maneuvering objects, but the story is great and the dinosaur AI was awesome, as I remember and had me proper scared at the time (those Velociraptors looked so intelligent and cunning). If you can look past the age and somehow get immersed you are in for a good game.

You can bypass the copyprotection by copying the content of the ISO to a folder, running regedit and changing Data Drive from E:/ to that folder

I've beaten this game so many times and it's disappointing every time. Usually 5 or so years go by... I'm feeling nostalgic, install it, start playing, and it's inevitably worse than I remember. That said I still like it and I'll probably play through it again soon.

I confess: I love this game! Yes, it's buggy and difficult to play - but it's one of the most original games I've ever played. Stranded on a giant island that's inhabitet by - you guess it - prehistoric monstrosities, you explore the remnants of a great vision: A Jurassic Park. What first comes to my mind if I think on this game: It's huge, open world and manages to evok a feeling of loneliness and desperation. The dinosaurs you'll encounter follow their different behaviours and even if they are not of the most intelligent kind, they sometimes feel menacingly real. The whole experience manages to suck you in the game's world - nothing detracts you from the illusion of seeing through the eyes of your alter ego, even your health indicator is implemented in the gameworld in a very clever way. What made this game way ahead of its time was the physical system it features - while it is lackluster, it still is fascinating to experiment with. You move around crates to climb on a roof otherwise out of reach, you move planks to "repair" a damaged bridge, you throw objects, stones or even emptied weapons on your enemies. The fighting system needs some practice, but you'll learn it fast. There are so many different things to tell about this game that could have been a masterpiece. For me it's a great game with all its flaws. Just be sure to install the ATX-Mod, it enhances the game and kills some of the nastier bugs. Good luck out there!

Mac users, use WINE or Bootcamp or anything else to run the windows game on your Mac though make sure to install ATX mod.
Same for Linux users, it should work fine under WINE with ATX.
