I had this Game on my Motorola Razr V3 (in 2007) and it was one of the two games that came with it. Loved it, and tried to find it again, but forgot the name of the game. Now finally found it again, while clicking through some genres. This game is like a very minimal Sims game, where you play a character who is new to New York and needs a job, friends and wants to find true love. You can go to the gym, do jobs and talk with NPCs.
