and that is why the video game industry is garbage led by crooks. They think they can lock older preferred versions of games behind inflated prices so they can keep making money off the same product for decades and decades and force consumers to also buy the new crappier versions/sequels, an extremely dishonest and downright crooked way of business.
People on here don't seem to understand what "abandonware" is. You can't just claim the old version is abandonware because the new version isn't the old version. There is no legal distinction for "abandonware." If there is a legally-purchasable version of a game at present which does not come by way of secondhand market, then no version of that game, altered or not, can be called "abandonware." Any version of that game which people might preference over the current version cannot be unofficially distributed, because that would legally be considered a form of piracy distribution that consumers might see as an alternative to buying from legal retailers. It is *that point* which is the difference between piracy and preservation, and it is on that point where the line between "abandonware" and actively-distributed consumer products is drawn.
Site owner should bring back the download file of the 2003 game for 2 reasons:
1. The 2019 version on steam is the world wide version, not the 2003 version. It's like saying the RE (1996) version for US is the same as the japanese version, which is not since the US version has more censorship.
2. The steam version has egnima DRM which prevent modding, cheating engine and reduce fps. And as far as i know egnima DRM has quite a lot of case with performance issues.
this game is still abandonware, as the version on steam is a new, altered version and not the original pc release. it is like saying RE2 pc isn't abandonware because of the remake.
I know where to download this haha
It actually CAN be set to English, the head menu is Japanese (or Chinese can't really tell) but one of the options in the head menu can set the text to English for ingame
Onimusha Warlords (2019) ISNT abandonware but Onimusha Warlords (2003) version IS abandonware since Capcom isnt paying attention on it. PLEASE site owner(s), bring the game back here. :|
i downloaded onimusha warlords but am not able to install it, please explain or describe how to install it.
thank you
Pls tell me how to install it, I opened it and it wasn't opening unlike onimusha demon siege that installed with easily.
Why is this not installing?
@Blazegod, well tell us then how? How do you put the game in English?
Name of the file is Onimusha-warlords_EN_ISO-version, the game is in Japanese
Tip: The installation will pause and will ask for files like "data3".cab, "data4".cab and "data5".cab.
Open the three nrg files (ONIMUSHA_2.nrg, ONIMUSHA_3.nrg, ONIMUSHA_4.nrg)
with PowerISO if you have it installed (if not please do so) and extract data 3, 4, 5, to whatever directory you that extracted the contents of ONIMUSHA_1.nrg to (i.e. if you extracted the contents of the first nrg file on your desktop, put the cab files there).
The game will continue installing from there. Hope this helps you guys.

Errors out when burning the first disc. Haven't proceeded to the next discs because I need them for games that work.

How to install the onimusha game
I know, right? I mean, i knew about 3, but that's about it. What was the idea behind an Asian/Russian only Windows release lol? Why wasn't it released in the US and Europe? I mean, it has English voices and subtitles...
Anyways, i've checked the 54 pages of Windows games... and there's a lot of stuff you wouldn't expect, such as PS1 JRPGs.
Holy cow didn't know these were on PC. First game I ever played on PS2.
