Had same problems of the game crashing or not loading properly. Recently updated graphics drivers (Intel drivers) for something else and its managed to load without crashing or outright softlocking on the menu, but the graphics are messed up and difficult to start a game. And testing out compatibility isn't going any further and thats all I'm willing to test.

Downloaded the game and followed Vincent's instructions to the letter (I double and triple checked!). Despite this, the game has these thick black lines in the background instead of textures that are about 2 inches thick. They can be seen in game and in the starting menu. Spirit can walk through them without an issue but it really ruins the gameplay. ):

Game is crashing on start-up using the guidance from Vincent, also running into an issue with the mouse not functioning on the few times I can get to the main menu. Any advice?

It seems to be able to play this game (atleast on windows 10) you need a mounting software like WinCDEmu to mount the bin file and when you've installed the game you need to set the compatibility settings to windows 98/me and set reduced color mode to 16-bit on both the PlaySpirit.exe and Spirit.exe (found in the game folder within the folder the game is installed to)
