The American Girls Premiere

How to Play

Notes:

• The installer of the game is 16-bit only and doesn't work on 32-bit and 64-bit systems, you will need to use extra tools like winevdm to install the game. But the installed game has both 16-bit and 32-bit executables, so it is possible to launch the game on 32-bit and 64-bit systems
• The game requires QuickTime 2.11 or newer for the correct work. The game should work with the latest versions of QuickTime, but to be able to use the text-to-speech feature you will need old QuickTime with QuickTime plugin; you can have both the new and old QuickTime versions installed in your system. The installer for old QuickTime is available on the disc
• Please note that the text-to-speech feature may result in random crashes if you run the game on modern systems, such as Windows 7 or newer. Make sure to run the game in Compatibility mode with old Windows (like Windows 95 or 98), for more stable work of the game
• If the game doesn't work, the best variant to play the game is to install it on Virtual Machine with old Windows. For example, you can use DOSBox with Windows 3.x, we uploaded the package of the game and pre-configured DOSBox + Windows 3.11 to our website. Optionally, you can also check the page of The American Girls Premiere: 2nd Edition, that page features the custom installer of the game that works on modern 64-bit systems
• The game released as PC & Mac hybrid CDs, visit MacintoshGarden for more details about Mac version. Also check this page for details of compatibility issues with modern Macs
