I used 86 Box to create a virtual machine running Windows ME using a 3dfx Voodoo3 card. It works fine if you install the Voodoo3 drivers (not the Windows default) and Direct X 8.1 (Required. Windows ME only comes with 7). With a similar configuration, it might even work under Windows '95 or '98. Under XP, don't use a Voodo3.5 card in a virtual environment. The TV Out option seems to create a conflict.

How should I install this game? Why is a disc still necessary?

this game is awesome but i cant get it to run in 3dfx mode. DGvoodoo2 wont initialize. However i can get 3dfx to initialize in carnivores2 which is 2 years older. Fun.
3dfx would allow me to use dgvoodoo2 which would allow me to -convert game to dx11 -integer upscale the resolution to 1440x1080 -disable the games HUD and crosshair using reshade

@THÉO No, this isn't a virus, it comes with .mdf and .mds files as was the case with many old games from that era, you need Daemon Tools or WinCDEmu or other file-mounting tools to mount the file. Not everything that isn't a plug-and-play is a virus you buffoon.

This game sucks and I love every second of it because I grew up playing the entire Carnivores series. The first three games are way better, but this one is so fun. Thanks for providing it!

I have no idea how to install this. I tried to unzip the main file to a folder but it keeps saying the download is corrupted. Neither of the two files can be mounted to a fake drive.
