How to Play
On the English translated RIP, set compatibility to Windows XP on MagnaCarta.exe and open it. Notes:
- You can't Alt+tab else you can't go back to the game. You will need to end the process.
- If you get an error saying "Unknown Error - Pixel Format does not match.", open MCSetup.exe and change the Display Driver option from OpenGL to Direct3D. Make sure to click "Set Okay" to apply the change before clicking "Exit Setup"

Comments and reviews
Well, so much for forgetting about this.
Incidentally, I found myself with an old spare laptop I decided to give purpose by making into an XP (SP3) machine with games from the 00s and threw the full rip onto it that I never had any luck with.
...And it worked absolutely fine. Old Dell E6510, Windows XP SP3, for posterity's sake. For whatever it's worth.
The "Full Rip" version works fine for me on Windows 10 when compatibility of the executable file is set to Windows XP (as per the instructions).
Having trouble running the English version per the instructions: changed display driver to direct 3d, changed magna carta compatibility to Windows XP (service pack 3), still get "unknown error - pixel format does not match"
The rip version gives me this error:
Exception
Assertion Failed!
File:
D:\Project\NP2000\MagnaCarta\MCAlpha\Kernel\MCSoundSystem.cpp
Line: 305
Expression: m_pSoundChannel[i].Handle !=NULL
It should be noted that the path is not mine, I have no such directory and not sure why the exe is looking for something in such a specific location. In fact, "MCSoundSystem.cpp" doesn't even show up within the game's contents.
Posting this here since this appears to be literally the only place on the internet still actively dealing with this game. A pity, I'd been curious about it for awhile but maybe it'd be better if I forgot it existed again.
Can I use controller in Magna Carta avalanche it's not working on my laptop that's why I'm asking
there's english patch of this game, need a little work to instal and patch the game
x360 game is completely unrelated to this, it's a sequel, though i don't know if by more than a name
If anything there was a ps2 game called magna carta: tears of blood, it's a remake of this game, but as said it's a remake, kinda loose one, it's very diffrent from this
Also this game is criminally obscure, too bad since it's kinda cool
any different to the x360 game?
