This is a really good game
For those having the Failed to "initialize the engine" error. This is due to game having problem with opening in full screen. To fix this issue. Do the following.
Step 1: Go to https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/3702-7554-data-config-file/?changelog=0
Step 2: On the website click on "Download this file". You will get two options. Download "Setting.xml"
Step 3: Copy the "Setting.xml" into the folder that the game is installed in.
Step 4: Lunch the Game.
Note: Game will only be working in window mode, even if you try to switch to Fullscreen within game. You can enlarge the screen size within game, but the outline of window mode will still be there. Atleast this way you can somehow still play the game.
12/09/2026 i wish this file is fine, so dev is down
it says it needs a file and microsoft says the file no longer is supported so theres no way to get it from the installer, the engine won't run.
using nvidia control panel and locking the fps to 60 has fixed my issue with never finishing mission 3.
I hope this wisdom helps everyone.
don't work in windows 11 give an unfixable runtime error i try everything but it don't work use a virtual machine or an old computer to run the game
Windows 11 needs these files here https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/3702-7554-data-config-file/?changelog=0
He's asking me for an activation key, how do I play it?

At the tank sequence you have to run up behind it at HOLD E down all the time to crawl up with the grenade.
Oh....and USE the DRM-free Installer under the Game Extras, NOCD button.
DRM-free means: NO Crack, NO extra Launcher, just the game.

Hey guys, I'm having a problem trying to run this game on Windows 11. An error message appears which says "Failed to initialize the engine," followed by a Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library R6025 error. I have all the visual C++ Redistributable Runtimes and DirectX. I tried looking online for solutions, but nothing helps my situation. Please help.
Is this game and browser safe?
In my search for a license file a kind person on Reddit provided me a link to the DRM-free game that was on the dev's website prior to it shutting down. I scanned the DL w/ Win Def. and Malwarebytes and everything is good. I installed and it runs. This is the file that Abandonware needs to host.

So, I'm unsure what Nevkin means by 'Skidrow Map folder' as the only thing in the dl is the .iso and a skidrow.nfo file. I copied both into the folder just in case but still nothing, still needs an activation code and devs website still isnt working. Anyone here have an activation code??
Seems like i'm getting old. ;)
Youngsters nowadays seem to have problems downloading a game and applying a crack to make it run. ;)
Just like Nekvin said, copy the contents from the Skidrow folder to the path were you installed the game.
Just really wish there was an option for increasing the FOV as its nauseatingly small.
Trash game. Save your time, don't download this crap

This game is still playable. Just copy the things from SKIDROW map folder to your install folder. Then run the game and enjoy the game. I hope this helps for you all who has problems running it.
Since devs site is down activation key won't work from here.
On 01/2023 the devs website is totally down. I hope this file works fine
JR did you ever find a fix?

For those who want to play this game but got problems with activation, you can visit the Official Page (7554.vn) and download the .zip file instead. This version has the activation removed by the developer.
