Thanks to all who've contributed to getting this game to run, especially RandalMcdaniels for his/her discovered info. They are some of the things I love about these old games.

Also a big shout out to the My Abandonware Team for keeping these games alive and ''FREE''.

I bought many of the Window and DOS based games now featured here. Most I was no longer able to get to run on my computers, so love this site for their help in getting them to run.

I just hope GOG don't filch too many more of the decent games available here as they have already taken many.

I noted one of their campaigns for getting abandoned games added to their library by asking the GOG community to vote as to whether they should pursue particular games. It makes my blood boil as the only reason they are doing this is to be able to charge outrageous amounts for old games.

This is the best adventure game i have ever played in 34 years of being alive. It puts fromsoftware to shame.

I discovered all sorts of things, i discovered two special attacks with her staff
A+D+staffattack = figure8 with her staff
W+A+D+staffattack = forward back + spinning attack

and you can actually still move while using these attacks (the WAD one takes a second before you can start moving again)

also i discovered you can use the floating bombs for rocket jumping

i also discovered the become tiny spell lets you go almost anywhere. Its a glitchers dream.

Anything that moves in this game including enemies and birds, you can jump on top of and ride like a mount. You can jump on top of bosses heads and then just whack them on the top of the head with your staff

when you place a rumble stone, it will spin violently, try jumping on top of it

OH HOLDING TAB lets you rotate the camera to look at your characters face (i call her jasmine because its voiced by the actress of princess jasmine from aladdin)

putting your staff on your back makes you run like 50% faster. You can hold spacebar for funny bunny hops

NO INVISIBLE WALLS OR MESHLESS GRAPHICS EXIST INSIDE OF THIS WHOLE ENTIRE GAME! So if you can visually see it. You can stand on top of it. The only item in the whole game that your body passes through are your magic bombs i think. Its just the most magnificent game i ever played

its like the never ending journey, ive been playing a week now every single day for hours and hours a day and im only on lv12 of 25. And the level design/characters are simply better than anything dark souls has ever produced.

Its a super masterpiece. Theres no other way to describe it.

Games like this are why i am addicted to myabandonware. Incredible.

i used anyburn to extract the contents of the image to a folder on my desktop. The provided NO-CD did not work so i had to get one from gamecopyworld. I am using the1.01 nocd from gamecopyworld and it works great

the game skips cutscenes sometimes, you can feel it happen because your camera swings around, just load an old save. sometimes it takes up to 4x tries before the cutscene starts (the solution on pcgamingwiki is to run the game in winxp-sp2 but i can confirm that does nothing). Just keep retrying the cutscene will eventually play. It has something to do with modern pc's being too fast.

I am using dgvoodoo2 to force windowed mode + vsync on

After downloading the ISO zip package and unpacking it, mount the the first ISO file with a CD emulator (such as WinCDEmu) and then run Setup. After installing, mount the second ISO file (flt-das2.bin) and copy the Data folder to your game's installation folder. If asked, accept the overwriting of any files copied. Then after downloading and unpacking the NoCD package, copy and paste the Skye.exe file and overwrite the original file. After that, you should be able to run the game using the Skye EXE file (worked on Windows 10 for me).

IMPORTANT STEP!!! 18 Jun. 2023

There is an incredibly important step not mentioned on this page or in the downloads:

Make sure to mount flt-das2.bin and copy the Data folder to your game's installation folder, or you're gonna have a real bad time.

For the people asking how to run the game, get Virtual Clonedrive from the link on the /howto page, then mount the ISO and run as if it were a physical disk. Install the game from there, and then run the application with the ISO still mounted.

Though I can't get the nocd patch to work

I actually own the original game and what i describe is the final fight with the endboss, where your mother and the now unmutated goblin (Yes, i really have issues remembering useless NPC names ;) ) are standing beside you. The hail of bullets on 800 MHz single core hardware is so intense that it takes not even a second until one of your "helpers" dies, effectively ending the fight immediately as the win condition is not only killing the endboss but also keeping both allies alive.
Maybe this version actually has an adaptive speed control that prevents this issue, i have to confess i used my original.

Now that is odd, Shadrim described the battle with the General, but not the battle with Necroth himself. That battle you are solo and is pretty much a 3D version of a bullet hell. It makes me wonder if this site has the full game? Or was Shadrim just describing the game from his memory?

This game can be tricky, especially in the later levels where unfair enemy spawns are becoming the norm.
The rather inefficient and rare clues can be circumvented by one of the many walkthroughs, the sometimes extremely annoying leveldesigns that consist of precision jumps while being fired at not so much.
Although the comments and storyline are really nice and funny, the leveldesign seems quite unrefined, especially the harsh change of world themes and level necessities. You activate magic not only by progressing in the game (which gives you some "spell slots") but also have to put in frustratingly rare "skittles" in the respective spell slots to acutally being able to use that spell, sometimes leading to fiddling around in the skittles menu while being in the middle of a fight/jump sequence.

It is essential to get some kind of slowdown software for the endfight (speaking for the original version played on an ancient dualcore) or the thing is over in a fraction of a second as the final endboss will roast both your allies with his hail of whatevermagic in a fraction of a second.
The even more ancient PC where this endfight was manageable for me was a 800 MHz singlecore so any slowdown software or emulator should be set to about this speed.
Don' t worry, the dying text of the boss is not very elaborate so you can skip to the endmovie, which is viewable in VLC or the like.
