Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius

Having trouble with this game, I can successfully run the installer but when I try to play the game it just opens as an icon on my taskbar without any window opening. I've tried with the fix file from PCGamingWiki, still didn't work. I also tried the French language fixed version from this page, and that did the same thing.

Played this game first on an install disc left at a sams club back in 2009. feels like a fever dream now

Ah, memories! I played this game all the time when I was a youngster. I don't know why, but I actually had two copies of this game on CD!

I don't know if it's just me, but I managed to get the game to run, but my mouse is stuck in the corner of the mouse, and I can't access the menu icons to start the game and go to other options, but by clicking on the keyboard I can start the game, and when I start it, it keeps moving by itself and moving the camera by itself, walking in circles, if anyone knows how to fix this and can help me, I'd really appreciate it.

for those coming back to try this out and confused on the error "PLEASE INSERT JIMMY NEUTRON CDROM", i gotchu

the .bin file you downloaded needs to be converted into a .iso file thro any means, poweriso allows you to do so in the trial version as well, then you have to mount the newly created .iso file to your pc running windows, now enter the game

however if your running windows 10, be sure to download the patched .dll file to make it work on windows 10 and 11

Didn't work for me on Windows 10 until I installed https://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/2122-jimmy-neutron-boy-genius-windows-10-compatibility-fix/ , then it worked fine. Controls are much worse than I remember and no remapping is very annoying. I saw the same thing as DookieAddict where the files were locked, but after closing Neutron.exe under background processes in task manager I was then able to delete files.

Worked for me flawlessly on windows 7 32 bit. I had to use virtual clone drive, open the iso folder and mount the .bin file to the virtual drive. I only installed the game, I didnt select to install directx 8. Saves and relaunches as it should. Also a off brand ps2 usb controller worked out of box with the game.

i think this game only works on Windows 98? to Windows 7 (32 bit & 64 bit)

Be weary if you're installing this on Windows 10! Tried installing/running this a while back and not only did it not work, but neither the uninstaller it came with nor Windows' own uninstaller could remove the files, nor could I delete them manually. It's a very temperamental game to get going nowadays!!
